Features: P-Bass split coil
The HendriX P-Bass split coil is a traditional double pole hum-bucking pickup which comes in
two optional versions: the traditional and the upgrade.
1. The traditional version has 5 x 10 mm AlNiCo V magnets with the typical "thumb" of the vintage Fender P-Bass.
The coil is Controlled Scatter Wound and has firm low, thumpy mid and transparent high with rich upper-harmonics.
2. The upgraded version has 5 x 20 mm AlNiCo V magnets with a pronounced midrange.
The long magnets have a distinct influence on the sound as apposed to the traditional one.
The human ear is designed to hear the spoken word the easiest, which is mainly in the midrange (Loudness - Phone).
Long magnets change the shape of the magnetic field around the coil, which musically enhances the mid range.
Although the upgrade version with long magnets fits in Fender P-Basses and most Fender 'type' P-Basses
it is advised to first check the depth of the cavity of your P-Bass.
